Baked Fruits & Veggies

Have you ever thought to make your own "chips" out of fruits and vegetables? It is so simple, easy and healthy! My favorites are apple chips and squash/zuchinni chips. You can really try any fruits or veggies... carrots, pea pods, strawberries, bananas, etc.

Baked Apples Chips
Apples + cinnamon + oven @ 275 degrees for 2 hours = healthy homemade apple chips. Good thing to do with those apples that have lost their crunch

Baked Zucchini/Squash Chips
Zucchini/Squash + salt + oven @ 225 degrees.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Slice zucchini into thin rounds.
Lay out slices on baking sheet and sprinkly lightly with salt. (I use sea salt).
Place in preheated oven and let back for 1 hour. Rotate the baking sheet and bake for an additional 20-30 mins, or until chips are browned and crisped to your liking.
Once they are cooked, remove and enjoy. I love pairing them with some good salsa!!!
Such a good treat! And my kids love them!!!

As I said before, this is a simple process!!! Try it with lots of different fruits and veggies! Send your feedback and let us know what your favorites are and what do you like to combine them with?
